Feeding hydroponic green feed to pigs of different sex and age groups has positive effect on reproductive qualities of sows, livability of young animals, intensity of their growth, and also promotes reduction of feed consumption and improvement of farm profitability.

Use of FORMAT additive (produced by INNOVAD, Belgium) in concentration of 0.5-2 kg per 1 ton of raw materials promotes reduction of the number of aerobic, anaerobic, spore-forming bacteria, mold fungi and viruses in feed, and also binding of ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans and other harmful substances in pig bodies.

Variation of a ratio of yelts and gilts in a nest has a significant effect on economic indicators. A positive effect can be achieved if gilts prevail in nests. It is explained by a steady dependence between a ratio of gilts and yelts at birth and the need for sows for production of a specified number of piglets of a defined sex.
